It is with sadness that we report long standing WARA and SWDRA Life Member,
Keith Sadler passed away on 5th November, aged 86 years.
Keith was an active shooter for 60+ years, only retiring from the sport recently.
His time as a shooter was marked with distinction, especially during the 1960’s
through to the 1980’s, during which time he won multiple DRA Prize Meetings
and many Queen’s badges. In 1975 Keith won the National Queen’s Prize in
Canberra. He remains the only WARA TR shooter to achieve this feat.
He represented WA in 17 state teams and was selected in 4 national teams to
compete overseas.
Keith was an excellent wind coach, and led many club and DRA teams to success in that role.
Always prominent in club and district affairs, Keith was awarded Life Membership of his club as well as the South West DRA.
Members’ sympathy is extended to his wife Pauline and his family
