The Aussie Vets team is preparing to defend the World Championship title it won in New Zealand in 2019.  Half the team are backing up, and the other half are very experienced “new” caps.  The team is practising alongside the Palma and Under 25 teams as part of the large Australian contingent travelling to Bloemfontein South Africa in March 2024.

The first full team practice was held in Brisbane. Wes Robinson hosted the team at his Museum of Target Shooting for a team dinner, and then we had the opportunity to view his extensive collection of shooting memorabilia.

Out on the range we started the process of bringing the team together as a cohesive unit ready to shoot in the challenging South African conditions. At the next practice, also in Brisbane, the rifle set-ups will all be finalised and we will continue fine-tuning the coaching and shooting strategies.

Stay tuned, there will be more updates to come as we look to support our Aussie 2024 World LR Championships Teams for their competitions in March 2024!
