NRAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Conlon and Andrew Woo as Directors of NRAA.

Andrew and Karen are casual appointments until the 2024 AGM.

Karen has practiced as an Accountant for more than 35 years, principally in Public practice.  Karen has also worked in Local Government and Business Management.  Karen has served on a range of committees and boards during this time including President of CPA Australia SA Division in 2022.  During that year Karen served on the National Council of Presidents and actively participated in setting the current strategic plan of this Global organization.

One of Karen’s aims in joining the NRAA Board is to look at ways to increase participation in the sport overall.  Karen believes that to do this, it is essential to raise awareness that it is a safe and enjoyable sport for all, including age, gender and ability.

With over 10 years of diverse experience across the financial services industry, Andrew is an idea generator and problem solver inspired to deliver constructive and impactful changes in the multi-asset solutions and fixed-income space.

Andrew is a regular speaker on topics surrounding macro, fixed-income, and asset allocations at conferences.  Andrew also serves as an Advisory Committee member and Non-Executive Director for multiple Non-Profit Organisations in Australia.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.  Andrew is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, a Certified Financial Risk Manager, a Certified ESG Analyst, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors.  Andrew is also admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a lawyer.

Karen and Andrew bring additional skills to the Board, widening the skill set of the current NRAA Board.
