The 2026 National Rifle Championships (NRC) will be held at Belmont, run immediately prior to the Australia Match and the ICFRA Pairs Championships. This is the most significant fullbore meeting Australia has hosted in many years, bringing the country’s best Target Rifle and F-Class shooters together with a strong international field on the same range at the same time. The full program is available here: [insert link to program in Aus Match section]
An event of this scale comes with a hard limit. Range capacity is finite and hosting the Australia Match and ICFRA Pairs together with the NRC means the number of places available is genuinely limited. We cannot simply open the doors for all entries as usual. To keep the entry process fair and to allocate places on a clear and consistent basis, entry is being managed through a priority allocation followed by an Expression of Interest (EOI) process rather than first come, first served.
Priority entry has already been offered to members of International and Australian teams competing in October, ICFRA Pairs and Individual representatives, and international competitors travelling outside an official team. That window has now closed. Remaining places in certain disciplines are now open to NRAA members through the EOI process.
The EOI window opens today, Monday 3 August, and will conclude no later than 08:00 AEST on Monday 31 August. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee a place. Entries will only be offered where capacity exists within a discipline.
Expressions of Interest in Target Rifle, F-Class Open and F-Class Target Rifle will be considered on availability of positions and on each competitor’s OPMP national ranking and performance history. As places are offered, a payment link will be issued, and full payment is required within one week to confirm the entry. Competitors who are not allocated a place will be placed on a wait list, ordered by the date and time their EOI was received.

Each discipline is contested in a single grade. Full grading detail, including the arrangements for overseas competitors and the NRC events, is set out on the entry form.
Full entry conditions, including cancellation and wait list terms, are set out on the entry form. Any questions to events@nraa.com.au.
A note for Sporter and F-Standard shooters: these disciplines are not part of the Belmont championships. They are being catered for separately at the National Sporter & F-Standard Championships, hosted by the Victorian Rifle Association at Wellsford Rifle Range, Bendigo, on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026.
