22yr old Jessie Craigie has won both the WARA King’s Prize Open Target Rifle and Under 25’s Competitions. Jessie from Yarloop Rifle Club, is one of only 3 females in WARA history to win the King’s Prize.
The competition ran for 4 days, with Jessie competing with the very rifle stock her father, WARA Chairperson Garry Craigie, won a Queen’s in WARA. A true family legacy in action. The Northern Highlanders led the chairing procession, upholding the proud tradition of the WARA King’s event.
A big congratulations also to the winners of the F Class and Sporter Disciplines:
F Class Standard: Ben Dei Giudici from Carnarvon Rifle Club
F Class Open: Ray Hurley from Esperance Rifle Club
F TR: Roger Brown from Waroona Rifle Club
Production Class Open: Grant Palmer from East Perth Rifle Club
Sporting WARA’s new ceremonial belts during the chairing, the above champions are part of our WARA evolving traditions.
WARA’s 2024 King’s Prize 2024 was a huge success and they would like to thank all competitors, supporters, and volunteers who made it unforgettable.
