Congratulations to Cooper Wilde, a valued Bowen Collinsville Rifle Club member and Australian Under 25 Target Rifle Team member, who will be representing Australia in the Australia Match (U25) in October 2026.

Cooper received a Whitsunday Regional Council Australia Day Mayoral Award for his outstanding achievement in the sport of Target Rifle Shooting.

Starting his competitive shooting journey at just 14 years of age, Cooper has gone on to achieve state and national level recognition. His sportsmanship, tireless training, dedication, and passion for the sport are truly inspiring to everyone around him.

The prestigious award was presented by Mayor Ry Collins, with Andrew Willcock MP in attendance to congratulate Cooper on his Australia Day Award and to wish him every success in his future endeavours.
