Members have been working hard on developing and growing our club to host our inaugural steel gong challenge on the 19th and 20th of June.

We had 35 registered shooters for the event. The shoot involved rimfire from 100yds to 200yds and centrefire from 600yds to 1200yds. It was great to host such a diverse range of shooters who are enthusiastic and passionate about the sport.

We are all having too much fun!

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all the sponsors. We’ve had feedback and we have taken it onboard to hopefully make improvements to our next event.

A special thank you to the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA) for their overwhelming support. NRAA played a significant role in helping the Loxton Rifle Club by guiding us through a step-by-step process to make this a successful event. They also provided us with the national database scoring system which was such a great experience and helped significantly for the competition.

We will hopefully be hosting another steel gong challenge by the end the of the year.
