The Perth Fremantle Rifle Club Barry and Son Cup on the 13th April was a rip snorter of an event. This was the third year of our competition and 46 shooters from far and wide took to the mound with many taking the opportunity to blow out our target centres. The competition format included rolling through 2×10 and 2×15 shot applications all at 600m over eight targets. This meant everyone was back in the mess hall for lunch and presentations. Country shooters then had plenty of time to make their way home.

The focus of the competition is on sporter class although a healthy 16 F class and TR shooters joined in the fun. Attendance records from clubs around the state indicates that Sporter class is the fastest growing discipline. The following first to fourth place winners took home cash prizes and accessories from our sponsors Barry and Son and Baretta Australia.
Sporter Production Class Open winners were Martin McCarthy who didn’t drop a shot on 250.30, Brett Boneham 249.28, David Zeller 247.26 and Grant Palmer 247.22
