The NRAA is now calling for nominations for membership of the newly established Target Rifle Committee.

The Target Rifle Committee is being established to provide discipline-specific advice and support to the NRAA within the broader national governance framework. The Committee will operate under the Board-approved Charter and will assist by providing input on matters relevant to the Target Rifle discipline, including participation, competition development, stakeholder engagement, and related discipline-specific issues.

The Committee is advisory in nature and operates under the oversight of the NRAA Board.

Key Information

  • Committee: NRAA Target Rifle Committee
  • Commencement date: 1 July 2026
  • Number of positions: Up to six appointed members
  • Chair: To be elected by the Committee from among its members at the first meeting

The NRAA is seeking nominations from people with relevant Target Rifle knowledge, practical experience, sound judgement, and a willingness to contribute constructively to the development of the sport at national level.

In considering nominations, the NRAA may have regard to:

  • relevant discipline knowledge and experience
  • active involvement in Target Rifle
  • geographic spread
  • ability to contribute professionally and in the best interests of the NRAA and the discipline as a whole
