NRAA’s Selection Policy for its Green and Blue Blazer teams has not been updated since 2016 and with NRAA adopting the Sport Integrity Australia NIF policies, our 2016 Policy was no longer reflecting contemporary requirements for national team members. It was also important for the selection process to be clear and open and to introduce a selection appeals process.  

Accordingly, NRAA has adopted a number of new policies for Team Selection and Appeals and has introduced a Selection Committee Charter to facilitate the selection of a Selection Committee for its international teams. 

The policies aim to provide clear information regarding requirements as well as ancillary information which provides further background on requirements and processes. In addition, a Selection Committee will be formed which includes TR and F Class knowledge, female input, U25 input and the inclusion of the Team Captain, given the important role of the team captain for NRAA international teams. 

The Selection Committee will follow a clear process for selection and be reviewed annually by the NRAA Governance Committee and report through to the NRAA Board.
