This draft reflects the considered work of the NRAA Rules Committee and incorporates feedback received during earlier consultation phases. Chapters 1–3 (General Rules, Target Rifle, F-Class, and Sporter/Hunter) are now available for final review by all affiliated State and Territory Associations prior to Board approval and publication.

The remaining chapters (Service Rifle, Match Rifle, Field, and Biathlon) are currently being finalised and will be released shortly for consultation. These will follow the same feedback process and timelines outlined below.

To ensure an efficient and consistent review process:

  • All feedback must be submitted via your State or Territory Rifle Association.
  • Individual submissions sent directly to the NRAA will not be considered.
  • We encourage members to provide their feedback to their Association by the date listed below.

Key Dates

  • Member feedback to S&T Associations: by 18 July 2025
  • Consolidated feedback from S&T Associations to NRAA: by 31 July 2025

The NRAA Rules Committee will review all submissions and present a final recommendation to the Board. Until the revised SSR is formally approved and published, the current version of the SSR remains in effect.

If you have any questions about the process, please contact your Association or reach out to the NRAA through our Contact Us page.
