The National Rifle Association of Australia has appointed Michelle Fletcher as National Events Coordinator, strengthening the delivery of NRAA’s national competitions and support for host organisations nationwide.

Michelle brings over 40 years’ experience in administration, operations and project management across public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her career includes leadership roles in national sporting bodies and successful delivery of major events such as the Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games, working with government agencies and international delegations to ensure world-class execution and compliance.

Well known on the range, Michelle is a lifelong shooter respected across the Target Rifle community — bringing a practical understanding of the sport alongside strong operational expertise.

Role focus

As National Events Coordinator, Michelle will oversee the coordination and delivery of the NRAA national events calendar, supporting the operational planning and execution of major competitions, including the National Championships and other sanctioned events. Responsibilities include logistics and timelines, supplier engagement, stakeholder liaison, and production of consistent event documentation such as run sheets, briefings, site maps and signage plans.

Working closely with State and Territory hosts, Michelle will help align local delivery with national requirements and standards, and will contribute to post-event review and continuous improvement.

This appointment reflects the NRAA’s commitment to consistent, professional national event delivery — from the sport, for the sport.
